Name/alias Maddison Neshevich/Maddie Current Bar Canoe How long bartending Nine years Your first drink My first drink was a while ago, but I recall it was pretty simple. It was summer so I wanted to make something refreshing and do a twist on a classic cocktail. I made a peach and basil mojito, delicious and I still like drinking it. Influences I like discovering new liquors and working with them. For example, I have come across Spice Box spiced whisky, which is an outstanding new Canadian whisky. Right now I am working with a colleague trying to create a drink that will represent this liquor at its full potential. Rules Mojitos, I love them, but they are a pain to make. Celebrity experiences About a year an a half ago I served Sir Alex Ferguson the manager of Manchester United Football Team. It was an amazing experience. His family and him were a lot of fun to serve. My more recent celebrity experience was in September when I had the opportunity to meet and serve drinks to Neil Young and his entourage. Best late night or morning after places Burrito Boys, one hundred percent! Another great place is Sneaky D’s on College for their nachos. I am also obsessed with the Firkin on King’s Irish Nachos, they also have affordable beers and live music, which is awesome. For a new upcoming bar, Spin on King is a cool spot — it’s a ping-pong bar. you need to get there early or make a reservation to get a table. Best tip ever My best tip was $500 on a $350 bill. Worst tip was $7 on a$600 bill. Favourite drink right now My favourite cocktail will always be a caesar. I cant live without that drink, it helps me with hangovers, but it’s also just so delicious. Right now my favourite beers are Creemore Lager, Muskoka Lager and Mad Tom IPA. I think they are amazing local beers and I love supporting local companies!
